The JMT lithium-ion motorcycle battery combines state-of-the-art technology, practicality and enormous performance in a standard motorcycle battery housing. Not only are the low weight and standard format are an advantage, but also their enduring strength and enormous durability with no need for maintenance. The battery comes with one or more spacers that are glued and can be placed under the battery so that the battery fits exactly into the battery case. The battery is completely waterproof and will not be damaged if the motorcycle is cleaned with high pressure. All batteries are equipped with a battery status indicator. Simply press the test button. If all 3 blue LEDs light up, the battery is fully charged. If only 2 LEDs light up, it is only half charged. The battery must be charged when only one LED lights up.

Due to their specific properties, lead-acid batteries can only use 30% of their capacity, while lithium-ion batteries can use almost 100% of their capacity. For this reason, the lithium versions of the JMT batteries only require 1/3 of the capacity of a comparable lead-acid battery for the same starting power. A built-in processor ("balancer") also ensures that all cells are charged evenly. By using adapters, the dimensions of the lithium-ion batteries correspond to the dimensions of the original lead-acid batteries. The connections are also identical, which is why the battery can be replaced in a few minutes without further adjustments.
Charging Process
A JMT lithium-ion motorcycle battery should only be charged with a suitable charger. The normal charging current usually corresponds approximately to the capacity (e.g. 2.8Ah = 2.8A charging current). Under no circumstances may chargers be used that attempt to desulfate deeply discharged batteries below 10 volts with a voltage of more than 14.9 volts before they actually start charging. The maximum recommended charging currents can be found in the technical data below. The maximum charging voltage of 14.9 volts must never be exceeded.
Technic
JMT lithium-ion batteries use iron phosphate (LiFePO4) as the cathode material and use the lithium polymer process in their manufacturing process. As a result, they cannot go up in flames or explode in normal operation. The technology and manufacturing process ensure the highest safety standard for lithium batteries. However, it should be noted that the ability to start at temperatures below 0 ° C may be restricted.
